Omar Wilson aka “The Black Sinatra” is not just your ordinary R&B singer/songwriter, he’s the greatest to ever do it! His style is well known to evoke so many emotions throughout his music, from his therapeutic tone to his outstanding performance. Throughout his entire music career, he has always advocated for doing things in a much more efficient way while also being on top of things through his musicianship. For all he has accomplished, Omar Wilson has been awarded 3 time Apollo Winner, 2019 NAACP Image Award Nominee and has opened up for numerous musicians, including: Chaka Khan, Boyz II Men, Justin Timberlake, the list continues.

He’s continuously evolving from his latest single “Secret Garden” Featuring Omar Wilson, Raheem DeVaughn, Sisqo & Shawn Stockmen that has over 800 million streams. Omar’s latest EP release “Lady” is a definite must! Available on all platforms.

We had the good fortune of connecting with singer/songwriter, Omar Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

How did you get into making music?

Like many other great musicians, I fell in love with music at an early age, 6 years old to be exact. I used to sing and perform at Calvary Baptist Church, in Norwalk, Connecticut.

What’s the best part about being a musician?

The best part about being a musician is inspiring others, feeling the energy from the crowd as I perform and giving women a reason to smile.

If you could collaborate with any musician, who would it be and why?

It would be an honor to work with Boyz II Men. They are the most powerful R&B group to ever do it. Beyond legendary!

Do you have any advice for aspiring musicians?

“If you don’t believe in yourself, no one will”.

Are you working on any special projects or anything new?
